After plenty of late nights, familiar faces and good times behind the bar, Baptist Street Rec. Club has poured its final drinks.
To everyone who walked through the doors — the regulars, the drop-ins, the long nights that turned into longer ones — thank you for making BSRC what it was. The room was never just ours. It belonged to the people who filled it.
From Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 January, we closed things out with a last round of the Rec. Club staples — a chance to squeeze in the moments, music and drinks that shaped the past year before the space reset for something new.
BSRC might be signing off, but the stairs, the space and the late-night spirit aren’t going anywhere.

Vitelli’s Upstairs is an Italian restaurant and bar in Redfern, inspired by old New York red-sauce dining and the kind of nights that don’t rush. The menu centres on fresh pasta made daily by the Grana team, alongside generous Italian-American classics, lighter plates and desserts worth saving room for.
Early in the evening, it’s a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant built for sharing and settling in. As the night unfolds, the bar comes into focus — classic Italian cocktails, amaro on hand, and a late-night menu for when you’re not quite ready to leave.
Eat well, drink comfortably, and let the night go where it wants.
